I have only recently started to read novels by John Grisham. I finished "The Partner" and loved it and am currently reading "A Time To Kill." Does anyone have suggestions on some must-reads of his work? Please also state why. Thanks!

Just about anything he writes is golden. The great part is that once you’re done there is usually a hollywood movie that you can rent and see how the producers envisioned the book.
I’d read them in chronilogical order according to release date: The Firm (movie), The Pelican Brief (movie), A Time To Kill (movie), The Client (movie), The Chamber (movie), The Rainmaker (movie), The Runaway Jury (movie), The Partner, The Street Lawyer, The Testament, The Brethren, A Painted House, The Summons, The King of Torts, The Last Juror.
He also wrote In The Bleachers and Skipping Christmas (basis for movie Christmas with the Kranks), my mother, who loves Grisham, seemed to enjoy them.

The Firm, is more than likely my favorite, but each book has something that you will enjoy. One of his non-law books is very good- The Painted House.

I think his earlier books are better.
My favorites: A Time to Kill (the BEST), The Firm, The Client, The Runaway Jury, The Rainmaker, and The Testament.

The Client. It’s about an 11 yr old boy (Mark Sway) who was hunted by a killer mob and a legal system which had holes. It was the novel that inspired my son to major in law.
Try to read ‘The Firm’ too. It taught me that you never get nothing for nothing.
GO FOR THEM ALL!!! YOU WILL NEVER LET GO
